The golden age of barbering is the time before the safety razor, before the world wars and the great depression. Most importantly it is the time before the boundaries between a salon and a barbershop became so blurred that it was hard to know one from the other.

The barbershop was a social hub in every town and men usually visited on a weekly basis or even more often. Barbershops were decorated and ornate. Tonics, balms and after shaves filled the shelves and the smell of talc and cologne filled the air.

The popularity of the traditional barbershop slowly wained for decades after that point in time and hit the lowest point around the nineteen nineties when salons had their claws dug deep into the market share. There has since been an epic resurgence, and we have clawed back the authority to once again reign supreme as the true home of male grooming. We draw our influence from that golden age of barbering and are heavily rooted back in that era and beyond.
