FOOTY FEVER HITS HARD IN WESTERN SYDNEY

October 19, 2020

The National Rugby League Grand Final is the big show and is coming to Sydney this weekend. Can the Panthers go eighteen straight wins and bring the NRL premiership home to Western Sydney for the first time since 2003? Let’s take a look at the task at hand, break down the challenge and outline the strengths of the 2020 Minor Premiers.

Can the panthers win the NRL grand final
Footy Fever

The fans are die hard in the West, you could actually argue that it has become the true homeland of rugby league. It’s footy fever in full swing and things have been shaping up nicely for the Penrith Panthers. With the Minor premiership in the bag there is only one challenge remaining.

The Challenger

Penrith come up against a fierce opponent in The Melbourne Storm. The Storm have been super clinical this season and have put to bed the best of the rest on the road to the final. Expect a big performance from the Storms big guns like Cameron Munster, Ryan Papenhuzyen and Cameron Smith whom is possibly playing his last NRL game. We can expect a big dig to send him out a winner, the Storm are definitely a worthy opponent and will throw down an epic challenge.

The Winning Hand

The Panthers have conceded only one loss and a draw all season, destroyed the club record for the most consecutive wins and beat the storm in their only encounter this season. Momentum can mean a lot in Rugby League and momentum is definitely with the Panthers. We also think that the Penrith players have the fastest looking hairstyles in the NRL, a definitive advantage. Viliame Kikau is in career-best form and returns from suspension for the grand final. Coach Ivan Cleary is confident that Nathan Cleary will perform on the big stage. His halves parter Jerome Luai has been phenomenal and will surely bring the dazzle dazzle football. In a channel nine interview, assistant coach Cam Ciraldo said that the whole team has an incredible energy and a special vibe coming into the big dance.

Final Word

The game is set for a 7.30pm kick off at ANZ stadium on Sunday the 25th October. Here at barber Industries Richmond we are all rooting for the Panthers and are pretty sure that the same goes for all of Sydney. If you take a fancy to the hairstyles that the Penrith players are rocking, come in and see us for your own before the big game. Let’s hope they can bring home the silverware.
