HOW TO CREATE ROCKSTAR VOLUME IN MEN’S HAIRSTYLES

There are men’s hairstyles that are super quick and easy, however to get rockstar volume in men’s hair it takes a little more time and effort. It’s not a difficult process and in today’s article we break down the styling process so that everyone can create that rockstar volume in their hairstyle at home.
To get the ball rolling, start with freshly washed hair and towel dry leaving the hair still damp.
Add a hair mousse or protein moisturiser like Joumia Hair Alive. Apply with the hands and distribute through the hair using the fingers. This will condition, moisturise and protect the hair through the rigours of the next phase.
To start building up the volume, use a hair dryer on a medium heat setting to blow dry the hair in the same direction that it will be finally styled. In conjunction with this, use a quiff roller in a twisting motion to pull the hair up and build the height. The mousse or protein that was previously added will assist with taming the hair and forming up the style here.
The next step is to ‘shake and rake’ some volumising or texturising powder. We recommend Uppercut Deluxe Styling Powder. Apply by dusting over the hair and try to seperate in areas to allow the powder to penetrate down towards the roots. Rake through with the fingers or a wide toothed comb.
The powder is micronised and binds to the hairs to provide hold, support volume and create texture.
To set the rockstar look in place, use a styling product that will compliment the desired hairstyle. For a pompadour, a high hold, high shine pomade will work best. For a textured matte finish, opt for a clay or matte pomade. Rub between the hands and then pull through the hair with the fingers. Ensure that you work in the same direction as before and be careful not to press down on the height you have created.
Fine tune the hairstyle with a wide toothed comb and a light touch of hair spray, this will provide all day hold and keep all that hard work nicely in place.
