The winter months bring colder weather but it doesn’t look like that has much effect on the trends in men’s hair styling.

Skin Fades All The Way

You would think that the arrival of winter would encourage blokes to opt for longer, warmer hairstyles, however that is far from the case. What we are seeing is that hairstyles that incorporate a skin fade are more popular than ever. A contemporary development in this space is to fade the sides of the head, dropping the fade down behind the ears but leaving the neckline intact. This creates that ‘burst fade’ shape where the fade is semi circled around the ear. We see this popular new age style in various lengths but it is mostly worn quite short.

The Focus On Fringe

In mid length hairstyles, we are seeing a shift in trend from side swept and off the face to a fringe worn forward and often cut blunt. In layman’s terms, this means that the fringe is worn down on the forehead and cut evenly across. This is very often worn with a ‘crop top’ type hairstyle which is currently making a big move onto the centre stage of trending men’s hairstyles. 

The Mainstream Mullet

While it may not be the case in all areas across the country, here in Rutherford, the Mullet has become as mainstream as any other hairstyle. No surprise that here at Barber Industries, the mullet in all of its modern variations is so frequently requested. We can not foresee this trend changing any time soon and are pretty certain that it can keep the neck warm for winter too.
